The Path Toward Love

Well, never mind.  This isn't about me.
It's about.......
........Kakashi and Sakura.
Sensei and student.
Alright, Kakashi's pretty great.  He's the whole package:  Handsome, smart, brave, sweet, kind, mature.  Sure, he's a pervert, but it's not like that's the ONLY thing he is.  And you know what?  I seriously thought he never wanted a girlfriend.  I thought he was a loner, or was afraid of being rejected, or (at worst) he just didn't like women.  But stuff like that fades into the shadows when you think about it too much.  Before long it was just an imprint of a thought, a faded smudge where a musing might have been.
And Sakura........
People change, right?  I thought of Sakura was an annoying bitch at first (Seriously.  I wanted to punch her in the face SO MANY TIMES).  But as I got to know her, I realized she was just a delusional (okay, that's really mean, but if she seriously thought I wanted to DATE her......) girl.  And then, later on, I realized she was really smart.  Amazing, right?  Like seeing a flower painted pink and then later seeing it painted red.
Anyways, what do you expect when you turn 18?  I'll tell you one thing:  The last thing you expect is for your sensei to start hitting on you.
Remember earlier, about how I said Kakashi was smart?  I'm not taking it back, but I should add one thing to that:  He's smart......EXCEPT for when it comes to women.  He's not exactly dumb, but he's not a master either.
But I'll give him points for taking the direct route and not beating around the bush.
But here's a little tip for everyone:  Sometimes being subtle is a GOOD thing.
How do I know?
Well, as soon as I saw Kakashi grab Sakura's butt, I knew he was going to end up in a lot of pain.
My prediction was right.
She slapped him so hard the imprint of her hand lingered for about six seconds afterward.
But you know what?  I swear I saw a smile on Sakura's face as she walked away.  Not a "man, did I give him what he deserved!" smile, but a "I hate to admit it, but I actually liked that" kind of smile.
I said Kakashi was smart, right?  Again, not going to take it back.  But it should be noted that he didn't do that again.  
What he DID do was a lot more......quiet.  And less painful for him.
He walked right up to her while Naruto was babbling about a lost frog or something and thrust a bunch of flowers right under her nose.  I guess they were what you would call "Forgiveness Flowers".  And the look he gave her reminded me of a puppy who wanted nothing more than to be forgiven for peeing on the carpet.
Sakura took the flowers, but she didn't say anything.
Kakashi left, and Naruto started babbling again.  
The next time I saw her, she had flowers braided into her hair.
I could tell she was starting to fall hard for him, but Kakashi had to take a step forward if he was going to get any closer to his goal.
Unfortunately, he took the perverted route.  I did mention he was a pervert, didn't I?
I'm not going to tell you what Kakashi said, but I'll tell you what Sakura's reaction was.
A slap.  AGAIN.
But I saw that smile on her face when she left.
Kakashi didn't see the smile, but that didn't stop him.
He made her a card with a bunch of cherry blossoms and hearts on the front.  Sweet, right?
Once he (FINALLY) figured out that Sakura really liked that stuff, he started sending her poems, and more cards, and flowers, and candy, and even a lock of his hair (I'm serious.  I saw him pull it out).
But Sakura was taking a REALLY long time to fall in love.
It's like she was sort of......resisting, you know?  Like she didn't WANT to be in love with him, but resistance was futile and her objections were becoming weaker and weaker with every sweet thing he did.....
And then one day, it happened.
I'll never forget that day.
I was just walking, minding my own business, thinking about stuff......
........then I saw them.
Kakashi had Sakura pinned against the wall, kissing her.......
.......and she was kissing back.
That put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Kakashi and Sakura dated for two years.  
I have to admit, they were a cute couple.  Sure, they had their little fights (what couple doesn't?) but they worked it out in the end, even if it took a lot of yelling and throwing things (mostly Sakura.  Kakashi's lucky that vase missed his head) to do it.
Kakashi and Sakura got married last spring, and now Sakura's pregnant.
I talk to Kakashi a lot, and he seems really happy with Sakura.  He's told me more than once that he's been in love with Sakura since he met her, but was afraid to tell her because she was in love with me.  That kind of makes me feel guilty, but it's not like I could have done anything about it.
Kakashi's still a pervert, but Sakura doesn't mind.  She always giggles at Kakashi's perverted comments and sometimes she makes some of her own.
I guess that's the end of my story.
I suppose I should get myself a nice hot cup of tea before bed.
Tea helps me sleep (as long as I don't spill it on myself).
"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  SASUKE!!!!"
Sounds like Naruto saw another bug.
Sigh.
Remind me to ask Kakashi why he didn't want me to stay single.
